Unique quests serve as an introduction to the game and a tutorial for some of the game's primary mechanics, walking the player through the steps of certain activities. These quests can only be taken once and many are required to be completed in order to access parts of the game. However, after you have completed a quest, you can review it in full in Tala's Archive on the Help page.

To start a unique quest, visit the questing snake on the Questing page, and select the quest you'd like to take from the Unique Quests section at the bottom of the page. Unless otherwise indicated, Tala, the NPC wolf from the introduction, will appear at the bottom of your Den page to walk you through the quests.

Tala

An enthusiastic guide, Tala will instruct you through the creation of your pack and work alongside you in learning the game. She's a friendly neighbor who you'll encounter multiple times throughout the game, whether that be while wandering around in explore, seeking help from the archives, or even... dating!

While you may accept multiple quests at once, you can only have one active at one time. Accepting a new quest will pause your current quest. Players can switch their active quest whenever they would like through the Questing page. Players can also pause quests if they temporarily don't want to work through them, but it's recommended you try to complete all of the quests as quickly as possible to unlock all of the game's mechanics.

I've followed all of the steps, why can't I finish this quest?

A: A common issue new players might run into is an inability to complete a unique quest. If you believe you have completed a quest, but can't find where to end it, make sure that you have scrolled all the way down in Tala's dialogue box. Oftentimes, there is a Complete button hidden out of sight!
