Wolvden's explore map is packed full of hundreds of encounters, adding depth and excitement to the mechanic. Explore encounters allow you to interact with the world to gain rewards, suffer consequences, or immerse yourself in the game.
While many explore encounters can be found wherever you go, all 12 biomes available to explore contain exclusive encounters that may only be found while exploring one biomes or a few biomes specifically. This page lists all explore encounters together. However, if you would like to view explore encounters which are exclusive to certain biomes, feel free to check out the links below! These designated biome pages contain encounters which are exclusive to the labeled biome, as well as encounters which can be found in the listed biome alongside only a few others (but not all biomes).
Special explore encounters will be added to every biome during monthly Events. During the monthly Lunar Event, a separate explore map is accessible, bringing even more unique encounters. This page will only list encounters found in generic explore at all times of year. For event-specific encounters, feel free to visit the links below!

Encounter Table
Encounter Table
Every encounter is displayed in a table with a few options.
A. Encounter Name: The official name of the encounter, used in the encounter's image and user log entries.
B. Time of Day Indicators: The times of day that the encounter is available. This refers to Wolvden time of day, where the current stage cycles approximately every hour. You can view the current time of day in game understand your lead wolf's portrait in the sidebar. Hovering over or tapping on these icons in the encounter table will specify what each refers to. Clicking on the time of day icons in each encounter table will display the encounter's image at each time of day.
C. Season Indicators: If the encounter is only available during a specific season, that season's icon will be visible here. Hovering over or tapping on the icon will specify the encounter's limitations. If the encounter can be found in any biome, it will say so here instead.
D. Encounter Image: If the encounter has an image, it will be displayed here. Encounters available in all times of day will have the daytime image displayed by default, and you may chose a different image to display by clicking on a time of day icon in the top left of the table. If the encounter has different images depending on location, a dropdown menu will be available as well to switch which image displays. If the encounter does not have an image, this section will not be included.
E. Encounter Prompt, Options, and Results: The initial text you receive when finding the encounter, each option that's presented, and all known possible results of every option are displayed at the bottom of the table. This information is based on crowdsourced data. If you find an error or missing result, please Contribute!
Within some encounters, you may notice that not all possible rewards are listed out. Instead, they may be represented in the form of a group descriptor, such as "Random Medium-Sized Carcass" or "Random Herb". In these cases, the exact reward you receive will be randomized within a pool of items. We represent this pool of items with a general descriptor if the pool contains too many items to list in each encounter. To view all items actually available within this pool of items, click on the group name in the encounter reward section to open a pop-up listing every item in the pool. These groups can also be viewed in the Grouped Rewards section of this page.
F. User Log Record: Every explore encounter you interact with in-game is logged in your User Log. To assist with searching, the exact text logged for every explore option is available through hovering over or clicking on this three bars icon in the bottom left of each option. Searching your user log for this text will pull up all recent instances of your interaction with this encounter.
G. Special Notes: If the encounter has any additional required information, such as if some options will only appear if you have certain items in your Hoard, it will be written in this notes section.
