Acronyms are used very frequently on Wolvden, especially with there being limited character restrictions in chat, titles, and names!

AGI: Agility stat
AMP: Adult Mutation Present, referring to pups and adolescents who have a mutation only visible in adulthood.
BLS: Black Leopard Shark, a popular marking
BO: Breed Only, a term referring to a genetic attribute that can only be obtained through breeding. It cannot be obtained through applicators, NBWs, or any other means.
CD: Cooldown
CF: Coniferous Forest biome
DF: Deciduous Forest biome
DU: Double Uterus mutation
ELF: Extremely Low Fertility
EXP: Experience, the value required for a wolf to level up.
FAPA: Feed All Play All, a subscription service purchased from the Grove.
G#: i.e. G1, G5, etc. The generation of the wolf. This represents how long their lineage is. For example, a G3 wolf only has parents and grandparents, two generations of wolves before them, making them the third generation.
HC: Hereditary Cataracts mutation
HP: Health points
IB: Inbred
NBW: Newly Befriended Wolf. A wolf that you befriend while exploring.
NIB: Not inbred
SMR: Smarts stat
SPD: Speed stat
STR: Strength stat
RF: Rainforest biome
RNG: Random Number Generator, representing how most of Wolvden's mechanics are based on random chance.
RO: Rollover
RW: Riparian Woodland biome
T1/T2/T3/T*: Alternatively, TI/TII/TIII. The tier of base or marking that a wolf has. These are visible under the Looks and Markings sections of their page.
VLF: Very Low Fertility
WIS: Wisdom stat
WWTS: White Whitetail Spots, a popular marking
#M: i.e. 10m, 5m. Representing the amount of markings a wolf has. 5m means that the wolf has 5 markings.

IBF: Instant Birth Feather, another term used to refer to the Instant Pup Delivery item.
IPD: Instant Pup Delivery, an item available in the Grove.
MoD/MOD: Mutie on Demand applicator
RMA: Random Marking Applicator, an item received from rolling over 28 days in a row or by purchasing it in the Grove. Applies a random marking to your wolf in a chosen slot.

AB: "Autobuy", in reference to sales, common in auctions. Allows the buyer to instantly purchase the asset without bidding.
CB: In reference to auctions, the Current Bid (current highest bid) on the asset.
CS: Cryptid Scales, the currency of August's Cataclysms event.
FS: For sale
GA: Giveaway
GC: Gold Cones, Wolvden's premium currency.
GP: Glow Petals, the currency of April's Springtide Howl Fayre event.
ISO: In search of
LB: Lovebugs, the currency of February's The Matchmaker event. Could also refer to the Leaderboards.
LE: Lunar Essence, a mechanic of the monthly Lunar Event.
LF: "Looking For", in reference to a trade. What the seller is looking for in exchange for what they are selling.
LT: Lunar Tears, a currency of the monthly Lunar Event.
LTB: "Looking to Buy", in reference to a trade. What the buyer is looking for.
LV/LVL: Level
ME: Mysterious Effigies, the currency of October's Halloween Spectacle event.
MI: In reference to auctions, Minimum Increment. The minimum amount of currency the buyer must add on to the previous bid.
SB: In reference to auctions, the lowest amount of currency someone needs to start the auction.
SC: Silver Cones, Wolvden's basic currency.
SQ: Smoky Quartz, the currency of November's Coigreach event.
WTA: Winner-takes-all, a type of raffle

CS: Character sheet, in roleplaying. The post containing all of a roleplay character's information.
DM: Direct message, a message sent to another player's inbox
DNC: Do not chase
DNR: Do not reply/respond
FC: First claim, referring to the first person to press the Claim button on a Giveaways chat message.
GH: Grouse House
IC: In-character, in roleplaying. When the player is posting as their character.
OOC: Out-of-character, in roleplaying. When the player is posting as themselves, not as their roleplay character.
PM: Private message, a message sent to another player's inbox
RNC/R&C/RC: Raise-and-Chase, a community movement involving raising wolves to adulthood and then chasing them, in hopes that another player will find them later as a chased wolf.
RP: Roleplay
ToT: Trick-or-Treat
YCH/YWH: In reference to art sales, "Your Character Here" or "Your Wolf Here". A type of art commission in which the artist uses a single base and recolors it to match your character.

EA: Early Access, when the game released for early access in September 2020.
HTML: The coding language used to write in the forums and on your Den or Profile page.

PA: Public Access, when the game released for everybody in October 2020.

Wolvden slang can be quite the challenge to get used to! Some words might have completely different meanings on Wolvden than what you would expect!

Adol: Adolescent
Brachy: Refers to Brachycephaly, a lethal mutation.
Chased/Chased Wolf: A New Befriended Wolf that was chased from a player's pack and then found in explore by another player.
Clean: The wolf is not inbred by the player's definition. There is not an official definition for this as it's purely based on player preference.
Colorbomb: A wolf with multiple very brightly-colored traits.
Deer: A wolf with a Whitetail Spots marking.
Dirty: The wolf is inbred by the player's definition. This could mean that they has the same wolf multiple times in their lineage, or just in the first page of their lineage, or another definition according to the player.
Fert: Fertility
Frozen: Referring to a wolf that has been frozen in time. This could be because they have been immortalized using a Jellyfish. It could also be because the wolf is on an account that does not rollover.
Gen: Generation
Heir: The wolf that someone intends to use as their next lead wolf or breeding male.
Hetero/Het: Hetero eye colors
Iri: The Iridium base, or sometimes markings
Kara: The Piebald: Karakachan mutation.
Lethal: A lethal pup mutation, a mutation which kills the pup before it reaches adolescence.

Meg: The Megalodon base
Mela: Refers to the Melanism mutation.
Mono: Monochrome
Mut/Mutie/Mute: Mutation
Patches: A Patches mutation
Pie/Pied: A Piebald mutation
Poly: Either Polycephaly or Polymelia in the context of lethal mutations.
Potato: A very plain and low value pup.
Pug: A wolf with the Brachycephaly mutation.
Rechased: Refers to a plain NBW that has been chased and then found again by another player.
Spider/Spider Pup: Refers to a pup with Polymelia.
Yearling: A wolf that has recently turned one year old.

Fodder: A wolf generally undesirable by the player's definitions, usually being sold for cheap.
Lowball: An offer made on a trade that is worth much less than the actual trade. For example, offering a single carcass for a very rare mutation.
Reverse Breeding/Reverse Studding: The selling of a female wolf's heat -- the buyer usually gets to choose who the female is bred to, and then keeps all the pups from the resulting litter.
Stud Racing: Definition varies by player. Some use it to refer to sending multiple stud requests out at once for the same female, a practice which is no longer possible. Others use it to describe trying to breed your own female at the same time as you have a stud request out for her. It could also refer to removing a stud request quickly, such as within a few minutes of sending.
Traditional Breeding: Instead of sending a normal stud request, the buyer sends their female to the stud's pack and the stud's owner breeds them, then sends them back.

The Bear: Usually refers to the Enclave, where you can adopt pups or leave pups you've bred.
Freezer: An account that does not rollover, and therefore holds other players' wolves temporarily so that the wolves will not age.
Hard Mode: Player-defined playstyles designed to make the game more difficult, such as by disallowing outside breeding, requiring low-gen wolves, or banning purchasing food. Each player participating typically determines their own rules.
