Cave Step 1
This step's wisp and text are randomized and have no effect on the cave you encounter.

You notice a flicker of light out of the corner of your eye and you turn to see what it is. A trail of light seems to follow this glowing wisp, flickering dimly in the dark night. You hear whispers, but can't make out what they're saying. Maybe if you get closer, you can hear them properly. | A dazzling, singular wisp appears up ahead of you. It glows brightly against the darkness of the night--so strongly it almost hurts your eyes with its stark luminosity. It glides through the air as if drifting through water, and if you're not mistaken... it appears to be motioning for you to follow it! | There's no way you could have missed the wisp ahead of you. Its intense, golden glow is mesmerising, and the way it twirls and sways through the air makes it look like it's dancing. It approaches you before backing away in several repetitive motions. Maybe it wants you to follow? | A pang of sorrow hits you out of nowhere and you're suddenly overwhelmed with sadness. You take a moment to pause, catch your breath, and organise your thoughts. A large glowing wisp snatches your attention, piercing through the darkness. It's looping slowly around in the air, as if trying to invite you. |
Occasionally, following a wisp will fail and no cave will be found.
Follow | You bound after the wisp as fast as you can, but it doesn't seem to help--the wisp leads you for a short while, but the distance between you gets father and farther apart, no matter how much you try to keep up. Eventually, the wisp disappears out of sight completely. Darn! | No reward |
Cave Step 2
Cave Step 2
You follow after the strange apparition, watching it with fascination. It's floating gracefully, giving you the impression that it has a mind of its own. What does it want with you?
OR You do not attempt to catch the wisp, and instead let it lead you wherever it plans to take you. Their bright glow lights your way, and soon you are faced with the entrance of an unknown cave. The wisp disappears inside it. OR The wisp doesn't stop, floating nearly as fast as you're walking. It is always out of your reach, no matter how many tricks you try to get closer to it. Finally, you're lead to the front of a cave entrance - a cave you've never seen before. The wisp disappears into the dark mouth of the cave, leaving you with no doubt that it intends for you to follow it.

The inside of the cave is very cold and the silence is almost disturbing, This place feels locked from the outside world, where no sound or scent could reach it. The dust-covered floor shows no pawprints or other signs of life, and the walls and stones have strange markings etched into them. You notice the wisp in front of you, glowing and waiting. | Upon entering, you can feel a strange tension building at the back of your head. The cave is freezing cold, and so silent that the only sound you can hear-or rather, feel-is that of your own heartbeat. When your eyes adapt to the darkness, you notice strange and unknown markings carved into the stones of the cave. You cannot decipher the odd shapes and symbols. Suddenly, you notice the bright light of the wisp in the distance. In the darkness of the cave, it resembles a flame, leading you further inside. |
Cave Step 4
Cave Step 4
You gather your courage and decide to walk the long, dark corridor. The wisp lights your way, but there is no way to go except forward. Suddenly, the narrow path splits into two paths, and the wisp hovers between them both, indicating that the choice is yours. Which will you take?
OR Carefully, step by step, you follow the wisp, walking through the narrow and winding tunnel. After a while, the route splits into two directions. Both are tempting. The wisp hovers between them both, indicating the choice is yours. OR You enter the tunnel without hesitation. You can't see the other side of the path yet, as it's so narrow that you can only move forward. Finally, the corridor becomes broader, giving you more space and choice. There are two ways ahead of you, and the wisp hovers between them both, indicating that the choice is yours. OR You enter the dark, tight tunnel. There's no space to turn around, so you continue on, following the light of the wisp ahead. Suddenly, the corridor becomes broader, and splits in two directions. The wisp hovers between them both, indicating the choice is yours.

HINT FOUND! The wolf you see in the distance looks strangely confused, but you decide to approach him anyway. You hear a story about a vivid, unpleasant vision he had whilst travelling through some vast meadows. He doesn't remember where exactly it was, the Grasslands are huge afterall, and many places look similar. Finding anything there is going to be tough. Maybe you should go to the Grasslands next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! An unfamiliar wolf appears in front of you quite suddenly. Before you even open your mouth to ask anything, he warns you to be careful while travelling through the Grasslands. Rumours are that one can lose their mind at a certain spot, but nobody knows why. Maybe you should go to the Grasslands next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! You approach a resting wolf from behind, scaring him momentarily. He calms down after listening to your story, and tells you that he actually saw the object you talked about. It was in the Deciduous Forest but he doesn't remember where exactly. You will have to look carefully for the signs. Maybe you should go to the Deciduous Forest next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! A sad smile appeared on the wolf's face when you described what needs to be found. Thinking that you're either very brave or a fool, she advises you to go towards the Deciduous Forest but doesn't tell you anything more. Maybe you should go to the Deciduous Forest next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! This wolf appears to be stressed and avoids any eye contact with you. You are not sure if you can believe a story about this magical object scaring away a bear in the Mountains, but it's still some information to use. Maybe you should go to the Mountains next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! This wolf's face looks bored at first, but you realise within seconds that it's an extreme fatigue. The reason behind it is an object that caused two sleepless nights in a row. The wolf doesn't remember exactly where it was, but that it was in the Mountains region. The wolf also reveals that the nightmares stopped as soon as he moved away from that certain spot. Maybe you should go to the Mountains next.

HINT FOUND! You approach the wolf carefully. It's a female, and she appears to be afraid of you for some reason, but you manage to calm her down. When you ask your question, she answers at once and shares a story about other wolves that went completely crazy after playing with a tiny, unfamiliar object. According to her story, it may be somewhere in the vast Prairie grounds. This won't be easy. Maybe you should go to the Prairie next.

HINT FOUND! This female wolf doesn't want to talk to you at first, but you convince her to open up. She's on her way back to her den but her way led through the deep parts of the Coniferous Forest. It's there where she heard rumors, but didn't see the object. A rumor is all you have now, but at least you have a place to start. Maybe you should go to the Coniferous Forest next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! When you see this older wolf, with his fur flecked with gray and eyes hardened by experience, you somehow expect some words of wisdom. While he doesn't know much about the object you want to find, he advises you to check the Coniferous Forest. It's the last place he heard about it. Maybe you should go to the Coniferous Forest next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! The wolf you meet next listens to you in silence. You could see that it was not easy for him to start. Hesitantly, he tells you his own experience of finding a little, peculiar thing that caused such strong and confusing visions that he wasn't sure if he was going mad or not. He seemed to be a bit relieved to hear that it was, in fact, very strong magic. It all happened in the Desert, which makes you worry. How are you supposed to dig through all that sand? Perhaps you should go to the Desert next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! You see a young, adolescent wolf travelling in the distance. To your surprise, he is the first to approach you and it seems that he's really into sharing rumors, legends and various stories. You don't even have to ask about the trinket. Apparently it's somewhere in the Desert, where victims of its dark influence tried to bury it forever. And now you need to find it. It will be tough. Perhaps you should go to the Desert next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! When you explain the situation to the wolf you've found, he nods and smiles. He knows this object all too well and warns you to be careful around it. His brother found the trinket a few days ago, and began saying strange things under its influence, but their ways have parted for now. All you know is that he was heading towards the Taiga. Perhaps you should go to the Taiga next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! The next wolf you meet looks scared when you mention your purpose. Only when you promise to stop this weird magic from causing nightmares does he reveal that he owned the trinket once, but got rid of it while traveling through the Taiga. Perhaps you should go to the Taiga next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! You come across a female wolf, seemingly busy with her puppies. She doesn't seem to have much time for you. She's travelling with her puppies and they try to get all the attention. She hasn't seen any object similar to the thing you described, but she recalls meeting another wolf in a Swamp area, who claimed to own some mind-bending thing. If you go now, maybe you'll have a chance to meet him. Perhaps you should go to the Swamp next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! The next wolf you meet isn't very talkative, and you spend some time trying to get to know them more. Apparently, he experienced this object's influence too and is still somewhat confused. When you reveal your goal of making it all stop happening, he eventually tells you that it would be good to try the Swamp area first. It's where he found it. Perhaps you should go to the Swamp next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! According to this wolf's story, he found the object in the Tundra and buried it somewhere after experiencing a hallucination-like vision. Before you go, you are warned that this thing plays with people's minds. Perhaps you should go to the Tundra next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! You started to doubt if there is someone else here who would know something more. After long hours of travelling across this land, you meet a lone wolf who claimed to hear all about a magical object, full of unknown power, being found somewhere in the Tundra region. Perhaps you should go to the Tundra next.

HINT FOUND! This next wolf doesn't tell you much, but you're able to convince him to speak about the trinket. In his opinion, the object should stay right where it is, buried somewhere in the Rainforest where nobody could find it. Perhaps you should go to the Rainforest next.
- | - | - |
HINT FOUND! After hearing this wolf's experience, you knew that you'd have to be extra cautious. Apparently, the object you need to find is buried deeply in the most freezing area - the Glacier. You hope to find it before it gets stuck forever in the ice or lands in the bottom of the ocean. Perhaps you should go to the Glacier next.

Trinket Encounters
Oh no! A level [x] enemy [enemy]! But wait - what's that? You notice a blink of a small, strange object. Your heart skips a beat. It's what you're looking for!
Persuade | In hope for a peaceful solution, you ask about the tiny trinket and explain that it would be dangerous to keep it. A moment of silence lasts too long but you are allowed to take the object eventually. A strange chill runs down your spine when you touch it. | +1 Trinket Piece |
Your opponent listens to your explanation at first but grows impatient pretty fast. You can feel the tension piling up... You prepare for everything, getting ready to fight... but before you even snarl, your enemy is gone! Damn it! You hope to find the trinket again somehow. | N/A
Attack | - | Automatic battle with the enemy
Standard Rewards |
You hadn't noticed anyone here, but suddenly, you hear a growl behind you! An unknown wolf seems to be protecting something, that you must have approached too closely for their liking.
Take a step back | The wolf looks convinced that you are unaware of his little treasure. When he's gone, you can safely check his hiding spot between the roots of the nearby tree. You aren't surprised to see the magical object there. You could sense its energy in the air! | +1 Trinket Piece |
The wolf doesn't stop trying to intimidate you. It's certain that he doesn't plan to let you go without a fight!
| Automatic battle encounter with a wolf |
You find something tiny on the smooth, flat stone in front of you, wrapped with leaves. It looks like someone may have just lost it - they could be back any second!
Quickly Take It | Holding your breath, as quiet as a shadow, you sneak the item away successfully. You could hear steps and a voice behind you but you were too far away to get caught. Even without unwrapping the object, you can feel the strange energy inside. | +1 Trinket Piece |
You hesitate for far too long before taking the object. As you turn around, you find there is no time for escape! The wolf searching for his lost treasure has spotted you! | Automatic battle encounter with a wolf |
You can't believe it. Is it possible that the object you look for lies on the ground like a common stone? It's just a few steps away.
Look closer | You still struggle to believe but it seems that it's what you're looking for! As soon as you touch it and feel a strange, tingling sensation, you have no doubts. | +1 Trinket Piece |
It would be too good to be true, and it is. It's just an oddly shaped stone. You need to look further. | N/A |
You start to inspect this area, but you can feel the presence of another wolf nearby. It seems that he's also searching for something here.
Keep Searching | The wolf observes you with a piercing gaze. It's clear that you're close to finding something that belongs to him. His appearance is far from friendly...
| Battle encounter with wolf |
You feel observed, which makes you a little anxious, but it seems it was worth the wait! The wolf looks visibly discouraged and walks away, avoiding any conflict with you. Soon after, you find out that this meeting wasn't just a coincidence. The trinket is hidden under the nearby rocks! | +1 Trinket Piece |
You come across a pile of bones on the ground, bones that seem to have belonged to something huge. The skull and legs of this animal are gone, but the rest is arranged weirdly in an almost ritualistic way. Who could do that? And what for?
Check it Out | Not one to be too worried about these things, you carefully deconstruct this weird installation. You were right, it seems that its purpose was to guard the trinket, which was buried at the bottom, covered additionally with stones and leaves. | +1 Trinket Piece |
You're careful and focused while deconstructing the bone altar. When you find nothing, you start wondering if you've just destroyed something important. | N/A |
The smell of fresh meat lures you to this spot. When you appear, there's nothing left to even try and eat, but you feel dizzy in this place. Something's not right - could this be a sign?
Check the Spot | You check everything carefully, every scent and every pebble gets inspected. You're close to giving up when you finally see it. The energy around this object is so dense that it's unpleasant. The sooner you're done with it, the better. | +1 Trinket Piece |
You spend some time around this spot, checking every scent. You are sure that the trinket was here not too long ago, because the place still feels odd. It must be close. | N/A |
You come across a small circle of pebbles and tiny bones, arranged in a way that looks to be some kind of ritual. The person who constructed it must have been keen to keep it hidden, as it lays disguised between larger rocks and easily possible to miss. What luck to find!
Dig | You start to dig in the center of the circle. The ground is soft and the whole construction seems to be fresh. After a while, you notice a strange object buried deeply and additionally covered by another stone. It looks like someone wanted it to stay buried forever. | +1 Trinket Piece |
You notice that the center of the circle is freshly buried. Digging was so easy that you have a feeling that this had been discovered before you, and your fears are confirmed by an emptiness under all the rocks. There is no doubt that something was inside not long ago, but someone got here first. | N/A |
This pile of rocks caught your attention. You've seen similar structures many times before, but there is something different about this particular one. Perhaps you should check it out.
Destroy the Pile | You knew it! The energy surrounding this spot gives you chills from afar. The small object seems possessed by a dangerous magic. You take it out carefully, with the hope that it won't play tricks on your mind, too. | +1 Trinket Piece |
You're really surprised to see an empty space once the pile of rocks have been moved aside. This place feels so different that the object can't be far from here. | N/A |
You notice a small hollow in the nearby tree trunk. It's big enough for you to take a look.
Peek inside | You didn't expect to be so lucky! It's really dark inside, but the strange object seems to shine even through the darkness. | +1 Trinket Piece |
