Purchasing Gold Cones
Purchasing Gold Cones
You can purchase Gold Cones in the Grove with real money using Paypal. Gold Cones are available in bundles of 40, 110, 230, 370, or 500. The exchange rate between US dollars and GC increases the more money you spend. Spending $10 will reward you with 40 GC at an exchange rate of 4 GC:$1, while spending $100 will reward you with 500 GC at an exchange rate of 5 GC:$1. Every amount in between these will have a gradually increasing exchange rate up until the $100 option.
You must use Paypal to purchase Gold Cones, but you do not need to have a PayPal account. You can simply checkout as a guest and enter your card details that way! Due to payment restrictions, digital gift cards do not typically work with Grove purchases, so you should plan to use a debit or a credit card instead.
Once you've made a Gold Cone purchase, the funds should appear in your account within 30 minutes. If they don't, or you have a different issue with your purchase, the Modbox should be able to help!
If you'd not like to spend real money to earn GC, there are plenty of other ways to collect it in-game! You can exchange currency with other players on the Trading Center, sell items, or enter raffles. We go into more details on earning currency on the Currency page.
Gold Cone Services
Gold Cone Services
The Grove offers a variety of purchasable services to grant special features, provide advantages, and make your gameplay a bit easier! These are premium services that are in no way required for playing the game, just act as added features that can make some things a little bit less tedious.
Wolf Customizer
Wolf Customizer
With the Wolf Customizer, you can create your very own custom wolf from scratch! You may also choose to fully customize a wolf you already own, wiping their genetics clean and starting over from a blank slate. This tool allows you to fully customize the base, markings, eyes, and accents of a wolf you own or a wolf you want to add to your pack.
Once on the Customizer page, you can select between customizing an existing wolf and customizing a new wolf at the top of the page. Make sure that you've selected the correct option and the correct wolf before you purchase any changes!
The base price for customizing a wolf is 20 GC, with one free marking included. Every marking added after that is an additional 2 GC. All eyes, bases, skins, noses, and claws are included in the initial fee. The same price is used when you are customizing a new wolf as well as when you are customizing an existing wolf. The maximum price you will pay for a custom wolf with ten custom markings is 38 GC.
Only some traits are available to be used in the Wolf Customizer. This tool contains no Tier III or Special bases, no event applicator traits, and no breed-only traits. Only traits classified as NBW (able to be found on a basic befriended wolf) and Custom are available to use in the customizer. This includes NBW bases, Custom bases, NBW eyes, Custom eyes, Tier 0 markings (with the exception of Shepherd Heavy), and Tier 1 markings. All non-event noses, skins, and claws are available in the customizer. If you're unsure of what's available to use, you can always simply browse the customizer without making any purchases!
If you're customizing an existing wolf, all of the wolf's previous traits will be completely wiped, except for their mutation. This means that no base, marking, or eye will be retained after the customization is completed. The only trait which will remain is the wolf's mutation. Though you cannot see their mutation in the customizer, a wolf with a mutation will still have that same mutation after being customized.
If you're customizing a new wolf to add to your pack, make sure that you have enough territory slots! If you are out of room for new adults, you will not be able to purchase the customized wolf. Assuming you have enough territory slots, purchasing a new custom wolf will automatically send said wolf to the Unsorted section of your Den. New customized wolves will have 200 base stats, with stat distribution being affected by their Personality. The wolf will be one year old and, if they're female, will come into heat in 8 rollovers! As a bonus, any new customized wolf has a small chance of being a carrier of a genetic mutation! This means that a new wolf you've customized from scratch could potentially carry Albinism, Melanism, Brachycephaly, or Hereditary Cataracts. You can check the wolf's carrier status at Gene's Hollow.
Wolf made custom and added to your pack using the Wolf Customizer will never leave your pack due to neglect. Even if you never feed or play with the custom wolf, they will remain in your pack until they die of old age.
Feed All Play All
Feed All Play All
Feed All Play All (FAPA) is a tool you can purchase in the Grove that allows you to instantly feed and play with all of your wolves with only a couple button clicks! The tool operates under a subscription system, where you pay for the amount of rollovers you would like to be able to use it. 30 rollovers of FAPA costs 10 GC, 180 rollovers costs 60 GC, and 365 rollovers costs 120 GC. The subscription only counts down when you rollover your own account, so you could take a break for multiple months and still have access to a month-long subscription that you purchased earlier.
FAPA still requires that you have food and amusement in your Hoard to use. It will not create food or amusement, and will only care for your wolves until the items in your Hoard are fully used up. The tool is split into two functions, Feed All and Play All, and you do not need to use both if you don't want to, as they're separate buttons.
Once you've purchased the tool, it will appear underneath the last cave on your Den page, directly above your Den Options. There will be two dropdowns, once for Feed All and one for Play All. In this menu, you can select if you would like to use each function on all of your wolves, or just wolves in specific caves. If you'd only like to use them on a specific cave, you can select the cave from the dropdown menu on the right.
When using Feed All, the tool will run through all of your wolves that do not have 100% hunger, prioritizing the lowest hunger wolves first. The tool will use the food items in your Hoard that are closest to rotting first, and the ones furthest from rotting last. Feed All will not use items that are actively rotting, referring to items which have a red background in your Hoard.
Similar to Feed All, the Play All tool amuses your lowest mood wolves first. It will use your amusement items with the lowest uses first, and the ones with the most uses last. Unlike Feed All, however, Play All allows you a couple of options to further narrow down what you would like it to use to entertain your wolves. In the dropdown menu, you can ask that it only uses Amusement Scraps, so that other amusement items will be avoided. You can also ask that it exclude Acorns so that you may save these for explore encounters!
Eligible items will still drop Remnants when used with FAPA, so don't worry about missing out on any remnants with this tool!
Auto-Nesting
Auto-Nesting
The Auto-Nesting tool will automatically nest your pregnant wolves on the last day of their pregnancy, saving you from having to remember to nest them before they give birth! Failing to nest a pregnant wolf may result in loss of pups! The feature is used automatically on the rollover the wolf is meant to give birth, giving them a nest right before they give birth.
Like FAPA, Auto-Nesting operates on a subscription system. You can purchase 30 rollovers of the tool for 35 GC, 180 rollovers costs 210 GC, and 365 rollovers costs 420 GC.
Auto-Nesting still requires that you have sufficient Nesting Material in your Hoard. If you do not have enough Nesting Material for all pregnant wolves giving birth on a specific rollover, not all wolves will be nested. The wolves chosen to be nested in these cases are assumed randomized.
When Auto-Nesting is enabled on your account, you can find it underneath the last cave on your Den page, directly above your Den Options.
Pup Stages
Pup Stages
Pup Stages are a cosmetic, one-time purchase that adds additional wolf stages to your wolves. When bought, these are permanently added to your account. The purchase adds two additional stages to your wolf pups' development- Newborn and Young Puppy. This comes with additional artwork for each stage, which is available to view in the Wardrobe after purchasing. The stages are only applied to wolves on your account; wolves on another player's account who has not made this purchase will not display pup stages, even if you have purchased the stages for yourself.
After this feature is purchased, any pups in your pack currently within the age range for either stage will automatically have the stage applied to them. Pups aged 0 months to 1 month will have the Newborn pup stage. Pups ages 1.5 months to 2.5 months will have the Young Puppy stage. Pups older than this will have the default pup stage. If a pup in your pack falls within these age ranges, but the new artwork is not appearing, you may have to wait a little bit longer as the images sometimes take a little bit to update. You may also try clicking on the image to refresh it, with often helps the image load quicker.
A visual example of these pups stages is available below!

Rename Pack
Rename Pack
Tired of your current pack name and looking for something new? You can rename your pack for a price of 1 GC in the Grove.
Pack names have a few restrictions that you must follow when choosing a new name here. The pack name must not be currently used by another player- two packs cannot have the same name. Additionally, the pack name cannot be longer than 25 characters, with spaces included. You can check how long a name you're thinking of is using this online character counter.
You can change your pack name as many time as you'd like, there's no cooldown or daily limit!

The generic trait applicators available in the Grove allow you to apply any NBW or Custom trait to your wolf. If you're unsure whether a trait will be included in one of these applicators, you can check the Wolf Customizer! All traits available in the Wolf Customizer are the same as what's available in the generic Grove applicators.
The Random Marking Applicator and Total Shuffle can apply any marking to your wolf randomly, with the exception of breed-deviation markings (Shepherd Heavy). You do not get to choose which markings are applied using these applicators, unlike the other applicators available in the Grove.
