NBW Bases
NBW Bases
This category contains the most common bases on Wolvden. These bases can be found on basic befriended wolves from explore. They can also be applied using the Wolf Customiser or Base Changer from the Grove. These bases are all Tier 1, meaning that they are very easy to breed and are the most common result in most breedings.
Custom Bases
Custom Bases
Custom bases are also a very common category of base. These bases can be applied to your wolf using the Wolf Customiser or Base Changer from the Grove. Some are Tier 1 and some are Tier 2, so they are all relatively easy to breed for and you'll run into them frequently!
Breed-Only Bases
Breed-Only Bases
Breed-Only bases cannot be applied to a wolf through any means, they can only be bred for! Due to this restriction, some of these bases are rare and valuable. This category contains Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 bases, with the Tier 3 bases being the rarest as they are the most difficult to breed for. To better guarantee breeding one of these bases, you can pair wolves with genetics that match the base you want or are very similar to the base you want. These bases tend to be more valuable if they are on a [Wolf Family Trees#Generation|lower-generation] wolf.
Special NBW
Special NBW
This category contains Tier 2 bases that can be found on Special Befriendable Wolves at lead wolf level 15. Since there are many lead wolves with this level or higher, these bases are pretty common, and they're not too difficult to breed for since they are only Tier 2. However, this is a great way to introduce higher-tier wolves into your pack if you prefer to avoid outside genetics!
Applicator
Applicator
These bases can be applied directly to any wolf of your choosing using applicators! Some applicators can be crafted, and allow you to apply Tier 3 bases to your wolf. Others can only be purchased during events, and will apply Special bases to your wolf. Special bases applied using event applicators can only be bred when at least one of the parents has the same base, meaning that they can be a bit rare, especially if they've released recently! While Tier 3 bases applied with applicators can also be bred for like any other Tier 3 base, they can be very valuable if applied to a [Wolf Family Trees#Generation|low-generation] wolf. In addition, base applicators tend to sell for high prices in the Trading Center!
